Kelvin to Fahrenheit Conversion
How to convert Kelvin to Fahrenheit
The relationship between temperature in Kelvin (TK) and temperature in Fahrenheit (ToF) is given below:
TK - 273.15 = (ToF - 32)/1.8
Alternatively, it can also be written as:
ToF = (TK - 273.15)×1.8 + 32
Example
To convert 300 Kelvin into Fahrenheit, the above formula can be used:
((300 K) - 273.15)×1.8 + 32 = 80.33 oF
Kelvin
The Kelvin is the base unit of temperature in the International System of Units (SI), having the unit symbol K. It uses absolute zero as its null point. On the Kelvin scale, pure water freezes at 273.15 K, and it boils at 373.15 K.
Fahrenheit
The degree Fahrenheit is a unit of temperature on the Fahrenheit scale. The degree Fahrenheit symbol is oF. The Fahrenheit scale is usually defined by two fixed points: the temperature at which pure water freezes into ice is defined as 32 oF and the boiling point of water is defined to be 212 oF, both at sea level and under standard atmospheric pressure (a 180 oF separation).
